We’re getting married on Jamaica’s north coast — old friends, new rum, and the two of us. Finally, officially, us.

Until we say “I do”

01 — Our story

How we got here

Gem and Bill arm in arm at sunset, the sea glowing gold behind them
2019

The first hello

A crowded room, a truly terrible joke, and Gem laughed anyway. Bill never stood a chance.

Gem and Bill out with friends — drinks up, everyone mid-laugh
2019 – 2025

The adventures

Four apartments, two cities, one very opinionated cat, and a thousand little Sundays.

Gem and Bill cheek to cheek just after the yes — the ring catching the light, palms and pool below
December 2025

The question

On a quiet beach at sunrise, Bill asked. Gem said yes before he could finish the sentence.

And now — the wedding.

Tryall Club

The Great House, est. 1834 · Sandy Bay, Jamaica

Once an English fort, then a sugar estate, now 2,200 acres of member-owned Caribbean legend — Tryall runs from a hilltop Georgian Great House down to more than a mile of private beach.

Look for the great cast-iron water wheel near the estate gate: two hundred years old, fed by an aqueduct that carries the Flint River two miles down from the hills — and still turning. Come early and stay late. There’s championship golf, nine tennis courts, a new spa, and rainforest trails winding along the river.

Travel & stay

Fly

Fly into Sangster International (MBJ) in Montego Bay — direct from most East Coast hubs. Tryall is twelve miles west: a 25-minute drive skirting the coastline, turquoise water nearly the whole way.

Ride

We’re arranging shuttles between MBJ and the resort on arrival day. Drop your flight details in your RSVP so we can schedule them.

Stay

We’ve reserved a block of villas and rooms at Tryall — every villa comes fully staffed, private chef and butler included. Mention “Gem & Bill” when booking; full details arrive with your invitation.

December opens Jamaica’s dry season — days around 86°F, evenings near 70°F, and the sea a bath-warm 83°F. Sunset on the big day: 5:35 PM sharp.

A note with love: this is an adults-only celebration — the ceremony and reception will be grown-ups only. Bringing little ones to the island? The Kids Club and villa nannies will keep them happily busy while you dance.

Will you be there?

You really shouldn’t have
